The Weekly Round-Down. (No.14)

Wow, fourteen weeks of not complaining, well give or take a few posts. This week, I did some writing, had Kentucky fried chicken in bed and enjoyed writing poetry.

It's true, I have started writing something new and up to now I've been really enjoying it. And I've been wanting to write it. It's because asides from seven sentences, not much has been said about it. There's nothing expected of it and that releases any pressure. I did have KFC in bed on my day off and it was fantastic. Watching Frasier, in bed with KFC is definitely the way to go. You heard it right, I actually enjoyed writing the poem that was The Spiral. Which makes no sense, neither does the fact that I keep thinking of poems to write. I think I'd like to blame Nav for it. I'm currently reading his collection of drabbles, shorts and poetry. It's quite entertaining and has been keeping me amused during my reading time.

Speaking of poetry, I may try and get some more poetry for Thursdays. After all Nicky's was awesome. I doubt it'll be every Thursday as there's a lot of blogs that share poetry already. Also, I wouldn't mind writing another painful parody.

Good news! I have gathered my 20 authors for the 20th story-time! It's going to be good.

I've noticed recently that more and more people seem to be lacking soap. Surely there isn't a shortage? I wouldn't leave my house if I wasn't clean, let alone go to work. It's disgusting and just unfair to make the rest of us put up with your lack of personal hygiene. Fair enough if you've just finished work, a long session of sex or exercise, but asides from that, there's no excuse.

I got given the nick name The Flash at work this week and barring any names for my anatomy, it's easily the best nickname ever. And I've had some awful ones in the past ... Jesus, spike, spider, Bundy to name but a few.

I also took part in a joint interview this week, so I'll probably post that tomorrow. I can't remember anything else so here is a spotlight for fellow author Matt Drzymala. Show him some love.

Bio

My name is Matthew Drzymala and I am originally from Manchester but now live in Liverpool with my fiancé, Elaine.

I started to write seriously when I took part in NaNoWriMo in 2011 then took a Creative Writing course in 2012/2013.

I write mainly humorous fiction. I currently have three stories out in my Bumpkinton Tales series and a psychological character piece called Brainstorm. I like to write short stories and novella's and hopefully, one day, I will get around to completing a novel. I am hoping to release one in 2015, but I will see where the current story takes me.


I have another Bumpkinton story out soon called Albert's Christmas which is available from 12th December 2014.
