Little Big Things.

Hello all, it's been a productive week this week. Maybe, misery is officially 99.9% finished! I just want to comb through it one last time and make sure that I'm completely happy with the story.
Someone asked me the other day, what kind of genre it is... I was stumped to say the least! So after much debate I've decided it's a pre-post apocalyptic, erotic, action/ adventure drama :p it really is! I've managed to cram everything in to this book. And now that it's nearly out, I'm proud of the fact that I've persevered because it's been a fucking long three years!

Anyway, it's only a short hello today as I've got some work to do, so here is a consolation prize for anyone uninterested in my book... More writing containing innuendo's :p
I hope you all have had awesome days, Much love.

Coming Quickly

‘I want you to come’ she mutters all flustered and breathless, sweat glistening off her arms.
I tell her that I’m not ready to come, I need more time.

‘I want you to come… for me’
‘I’m telling you woman, I’m not ready and this pressure you are putting on me only delays it further.’

‘Just come’ she moans, as she continues to tire.
It’s become annoying now so I think clearly and prepare myself ‘Fine, I hope you are ready.’

Don’t you just hate it when your running partner asks you to a party at your exes.

Double Penetration.

Yes, I thought that may catch your attention :p

Rather than any small updates, I'll just let you know that everything is running smoothly regarding Maybe, misery and all things related. I'm still waiting on two sets of answers for the 20/20 quiz so it shouldn't be much longer... surely.

I have two stories to share with you today. Another 100 word drabble and a 500 word short story I wrote this morning for a competition, though I'd been up for 24 hours and was extremely fucking sleepy. So I hope you enjoy them regardless.

Much love

C.S

Ignorance isn't bliss

Why on earth are you ignoring me!
What have I done to make you so angry? To have you treat me like this!
You stand by my side drowning in tears, yet you say nothing at all.
I didn’t mean to do it, whatever it is I’m supposed to have done!
I’ve always loved you and you’ve loved me back yet you treat me to the painful gift of silence.
I’m begging you now, begging for your forgiveness; I’d do anything to hear your voice.

And then it dawns on me, I left you

It dawns on me, I died.

Just another day

He mumbles relentlessly, about the past as though nostalgia is his best friend. The words leave his aging, chapped lips and I pretend to listen.
I look upon him with great pity as he brushes his shoulder length grey hair from out of his eyes and I can only hope this is not what the future holds for me.
“Back in the good old days, America stood tall until the war was won” he rambles as if we lost this non-existent war.

The world as we knew it will forever be a figment of the past. There was no great war, no nuclear fallout… Our enemy was simply time itself.
10 billion people populated the Earth and we consumed everything our planet had to offer, just to suit our own selfish needs. And rather predictably, the Earth had less and less to give until we were left with nothing but our greed.

However, that didn’t stop us. We just became more aggressive with our resources. Bombarding other countries with our vast military to steal from them what we had already depleted.
Eventually there was nothing left to steal. Our fuel ran out first, and without fuel, we were lambs to the slaughter.

Countries fell fast with all inhabitants becoming a one man army of self-preservation. The riots in my home town were of an epic scare and as each day past, I grew ever more fearful for my life.
I cowered inside my one bedroomed apartment, clenching my gun for 18 hours a day, and waiting anxiously for someone to break in and attempt to steal my supplies. I’d say luckily that day never came, except for the fact that after two or three months, it was irrelevant; I’d run dry.

As I plucked up my courage and ventured out into the broken world, my so called courage soon dissipated. Since I’d been in hiding, I’d missed most of the riots. The streets were littered, shops broken in; bodies lie scattered on the un-swept ground and as the darkness fell… well let me just say; it was scary as hell.
It’s been around a year now, surviving day by day. I spend most of my time searching for bottled water and the rest, hoping to find a group of survivors who have chosen to stick together.

I almost feel bad for what I’m about to do.

I sit down besides the old man, faking friendship and just as he’s rambling on consistently, I bring the blade in my left hand around and jam it in his throat. As his blood spills on to my hands, he looks into my eyes and I try my best to look away as his life drains away.
Once his suffering has ended, I wipe the blood that covers my hands on to his rugged beige jacket and grab his half empty bottle of water. It may seem slightly severe to anyone reading this, but for me; it was just another day.

Killing time.

Well, happy Friday everyone! Or as I call it, Monday, because it's the start of my working week. Regardless, I hope you all have awesome plans for the weekend. Things are going well at the moment, my editor is hard at work and I'm just sort of relaxing. I say that, but I'm utterly confused as to what I should be writing. I've written a worthy chunk of the book that follows on from Maybe, misery but I feel I should wait until the first one is actually out before I commit any more time to it.

Anyway, I have recently missed out on a sort of competition on KUF, which consisted of writing 100 words stories (or drabbles as their called). So I decided regardless of missing out, I want to write one. So I did, in less than ten minutes (Chris doesn't faff around). So I'll share it with you below (feel free to send me any of your own in!). Also my favourite song I've heard this week is Sex and Lies by Nothing More. You should check them out. And I finally got round to watching the Wolf of Wall Street, which was truly awesome! Purely because it's just crazy and I like to see films that aren't filtered to achieve a lower age rating, to get the teenagers in.

I've also been reading Duellists by David Wailing which has been a great read so far, and is a grim look at the future. Plus it's free for kindle so get that downloaded. What else... I've noticed a few people from Russia read my blog and if any of you are poets, send it in and I'll put it up for everyone to see! (MrTalon87@aol.co.uk) Have you ever heard poetry in Russian? It sounds fucking awesome! :D But that invitation obviously stands to everyone else as well :) Anyway have an awesome weekend from me, much love.

Killing Time

As I look down at the indigo face of my watch,
The time is 21:37.
I frantically rub my eyes as the heat from the fire singes away with reckless abandon.
The ash floats up into the nights sky and I sense a feeling I have long since felt; serenity.
As the smell of burning flesh begins to dissipate, my work here is done.
You made my life hell, a misery causing me to drown in my own despair.
Now, as I stand above your burning lifeless corpse, I smile completely for the first time.

It’s 21:37, it’s killing time.

A Thankful Apology.

Hello everyone. First off I want to apologize for missing out Nova Tuesdays due to my 20/20 quiz taking place. My attempt at poetry will also be missing tomorrow as well. It's the last five contestants tomorrow to see who goes through to round two! As I previously mentioned a while back, I tried to get a few authors involved... I managed one, in the form of the awesome A.K Michaels. You can find out more about her via the link on this page. Three's a crowd will return on Thursday and everything will continue as usual until Round two is ready.

Secondly, over the past few days my blog passed 1000 views. Now we all know I'm new to blogging, I've mentioned that a few too many times. So I just want to say a massive thank you to every single person that has read my blog! A thousand views may not be a lot in terms of blog views (it may be! You can colour me clueless) but it means a lot to me so once again, Thank you!

The editing process for maybe, misery is well under-way and I am delighted to say that 1. the editor I have chosen is in fact awesome. And 2. From what has been returned to me, it really does look a lot fucking better!

Anyway that's all for now... oh shit... I almost forgot. To the people that read my blog, I have set up an email account specifically for reason such as this. If you'd like to contribute in any way to my blog, for example; share your attempts at poetry or just tell us all a bit about yourself and what interests you about the whole blogging thing. Even if you want to take part in any of the series I run (now or in the future) You can email me at MrTalon87@aol.co.uk

Enjoy the rest of your day
